Objectives

 Specifically, this call will contribute to:

  • improving the translation capabilities of the CEF eTranslation service in specific domains and languages
  • increasing the number of pages translated by CEF eTranslation
  • a deeper involvement of Member States in language resources detection, collection and processing
  • increasing the number of CEF DSIs and online services related to CEF DSIs using CEF eTranslation
  • integration of automated translation technology other than machine translation alone in existing public online services

Actions

The priority outcomes of this call for proposals are to complement and extend the coverage of generic services funded under the 2016 Work Programme. Proposals must address at least one of the two following objectives:

  1. Language resource projects: projects aiming to facilitate language resource identification, processing and collection in the Member States (e.g. anonymization , aggregation, alignment, conversion, provision of metadata, negotiations for re-use, dissemination, best practices).
  2. Integration projects: reference implementations and showcases for making online services multilingual with existing technology.

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 6,00 Million EUR (Global Budget)
