2016 CEF Telecom call - Business Registers Interconnection System (BRIS) (CEF-TC-2016-1) CEF-TC-2016-1-BRIS Closed!

This call will contribute to:

  • increase confidence   in   the   European   Single   Market   by   ensuring   a   safer   business environment for consumers, creditors and other business partners;
  • create a  higher  degree  of  legal  certainty  as  to  the  information  in  the  European  business registers;
  • improve the   performance   of   public   administrations   regarding   cooperation   between business registers  in  Europe  in  procedures  for  cross-border  mergers,  as  well  as  the exchange of relevant information regarding  companies and their branches.

 The  priority  outcomes  of  this  call  for  proposals  are to:

  • enable  business  registers  to implement  and support the  requirements, the  data  model  and the  standard  messages  coming  from  BRIS,  which  may  involve  the  upgrade  of  existing business registers.
  • promote testing activities to ensure that transition to a fully operational mode is successful.
  • for the purpose of message exchange, either directly deploy the eDelivery Building Block, or use eDelivery through a service provider.

In this respect, the grants will enable business registers to integrate their back-office systems with the eDelivery solution of their choice.

In addition if the deployment of eDelivery is included in the proposal, the specific objective of this activity is to:

  1. deploy  AS4-compliant  access  points and/or  to  operate  AS4-compliant  access  points for one year;
  2. upgrade  data  exchange  solutions  (Commercial  Off-the-Shelf  (COTS),  Open-Source Software (OSS) or others) to support, and therefore fully comply with CEF eDelivery standards
