The European Commission has published on January, 29th the third Call for Proposals (CIP-ICT PSP-2009-3) under the work programme for 2009 of the Information and Communication Technologies Policy Support Programme as part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (2007 to 2013). This Call is funded with 99,5 M€.

The Information and Communication Technologies Policy Support Programme is one of the three specific programmes which are part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). The Programme aims to stimulate innovation and competitiveness and accelerate the development of a sustainable, competitive, innovative and inclusive information society.

Furthermore, the ICT-PSP Programme supports activities to accelerate innovation and implementation of ICT based services and systems through the wider uptake and best use of ICT and the exploitation of digital content by citizens, governments and businesses.

Projects funded under Call for Proposals CIP-ICT PSP-2009-3, which is open to all legal entities in any Member States and third countries, will develop the following topics:

1. Theme 1:  ICT for Health, ageing and inclusion.
2. Theme 2:  Digital Libraries.
3. Theme 3:  ICT for government and governance.
4. Theme 4:  ICT for energy efficiency and environment.
5. Theme 5:  Multilingual Web.
6. Theme 6:  Public Sector Information.
7. Theme 7:  Internet Evolution and Security (incl. RFID).
8. Theme 8:  Open innovation, user experience and living labs.

Budget and Application Deadline for CIP-ICT PSP-2009-3 Call

The indicative budget for Call CIP-ICT PSP-2009-3 will be 99,5 M€, and applicants may submit their projects until June, 2nd 2009 at 17:00, Brussels local time.
