The INCLUD-ED project final conference is focusing in social cohesion
The INCLUD-ED project final conference will present and discuss the successful actions, mainly in education which are contributing to overcoming social exclusion in Europe and promoting social cohesion. In addition, key messages will be provided at the conference in order to develop more efficient educational and social policies in Europe.
The final conference of the INCLUD-ED project will focus in discussing successful actions in education and in other areas (employment, health, housing, political participation) which are contributing to overcoming social exclusion in Europe and promoting social cohesion. On the other hand key messages will be provided in order to develop more efficient educational and social policies in Europe. The final conference will take place on 6 December at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
According to the organisers, education can act as a powerful resource to achieve the European goal of social cohesion. Similarly to the field of medicine in which only those treatments that have been proven to be effective when curing a particular disease are implemented, there is a need to identify those educational and social actions that research has shown can reverse social and educational exclusion. In the last 5 years, INCLUD-ED project researchers have gathered evidences that demonstrate which are the actions that overcome inequalities. They will be presented in the Final INCLUD-ED Conference.
INCLUD-ED project is an Integrated Project under priority 7 “Citizens and governance in the knowledge-based society” of the Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP6). The European Union faces the challenge of creating high quality educational systems and social policies that are more effective and equitable.
