Valencia, ready for the conference on FP7
The Conference “The European Framework Programmes: From Economic Recovery to Sustainability” will be the key public event in a series of new Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) as cornerstone of the smart investments of the European Economic Recovery Plan
A conference on the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), entitled 'The European research and technology development (RTD) framework programmes: from economic recovery to sustainability', will be held on 13 and 14 April 2010 in Valencia, Spain.
Planned as a major event of the Spanish Council Presidency of the EU, the conference will bring together high-level stakeholders from different public private partnerships (PPPs), and will give an overview of the latest developments in the smart investments of the European Economic Recovery Plan. These investments include the Factories of the Future (FoF), Energy Efficient Buildings (EeB), Green Cars (GCI) and Future Internet (FI) initiatives.
The conference will also be an integral part of the 'FP7: European innovation and RTD transforming sectors' week. Numerous side events will be held during the special week include meetings of the NESSI ('Networked European software and services initiative') technology platform and the Fifth Future Internet Assembly. Other co-located events organised together with the European Commission are also planned.
