EESC hosts a conference on economic and social recovery
Experts and skateholders on sustainable recovery will meet in European Economic and Social Committee headquarters to discuss about the current state and future targets of social and economic recovery in Member States.
The conference organized by the EESC on An EU Road Map for a Sustainable Economic and Social Recovery will be an extremely important occasion to discuss the current state of play and the upcoming challenges Europe is facing and a possible road map for a sustainable economic and social recovery.
- On 18 March, the discussion has focused on two different topics: "Maintaining the necessary economic and social support" and "Reconciling the required support measures with public finances".
- On 19 March, the debate will address the issue "Reforming the economy towards economic, social and environmental sustainability".
European Commission is already working on a sustainable economic recovery of the crisis by funding energy projects with more than 2.400 million euros.
Among others, speakers will include Mario Sepi, President of the EESC, Javier Vallés Liberal, EU Spanish Presidency national Lisbon Strategy Coordinator, Maria João Rodrigues, Special advisor on the Lisbon Agenda of the European Union, Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the Euro group and Prime Minister of Luxembourgm or Wolf Klinz, Chairman of the Committee on the Financial, Economic and Social Crisis of the European Parliament.
