Biggest european event on ICT, to be held in Brussels in September 2010
The biggest forum on ICT research and innovation, a biennial event with the latest research trends, will take place among 27 and 29 September 2010, in Brussels, under the belgian presidency of the EU.
This biennial event has become a unique gathering point for researchers, business people, investors, and high level policy makers in the field of digital innovation. ICT 2010 will focus on policy priorities such as Europe's Digital Agenda and the next financial programme of the European Union. The two main themes for the event will be ICT for sustainable growth in a low carbon economy and ICT for and by the citizen.
Visitors and attendings will have the chance of discovering the latest research trends in information and communication technologies and European 2011-2012 priorities for 2.8 billion Euros research funding in ICT. As in the past, the event will be organized around three key elements: an ambitious conference programme featuring high level speakers, networking sessions and an exhibition of Europe's latest cutting edge ICT research with over 100 stands. Calls for proposals for the exhibition and networking sessions will open on January 15th.
The event is co-hosted by the European Commission and the Belgian Presidency of the EU. The event's website will be up and running in January 2010. Approximately 4,000 delegates attended at ICT 2008 in Lyon in November 2008.
