ePSIplatform meets in Stockholm
Experts on reuse of public sector information will share their experiences on November 24 in a meeting in Stockholm (Sweden) unther the theme "Stimulating PSI Re-use: European Progress".
Participants either from the perspective of a PSI re-user or a PSI holder will debate on November 24 in Stockholm in a meeting with the aim of assessing whether recent examples of re-use of public sector information are transferable and could be adopted across Europe.
The meeting objectives are to consider recent actions by the Swedish Government to improve the implementation of the re-use of public sector information framework by the summer of 2010 and pragmatic initiatives taken by other Member States and public sector bodies to raise awareness and facilitation of the re-use of PSI.
Lessons from the Swedish Government initiatives and advantages of pragmatic solutions that have been used across Europe will be discused by policy makers, researchers and practitioners, PSI holders, PSI re-users and digital activists. The meeting theme is "Stimulating PSI Re-Use: European Progress".
The venue will be in the Aula Magna of the Auditorium of Stockholm University (Frescativägen 6, 106 91).
The ePSIplatform, funded under the European Commission’s eContentplus programme, will be operational from March 2009 to February 2011. The aim of the ePSIplatform is to stimulate action, report developments and monitor progress towards a stronger and more transparent environment for the growth of national and European PSI re-use markets.
