65 million euros to finance the university-enterprise cooperation

The European Commission has published a call for projects within the program "People", 2009, within the VII Framework Program for research, technological development and demonstration, by which it will fund partnership initiatives and university-business gateway between the European Union.

Cooperation between non-commercial research institutions, universities, and enterprises to support and promote the careers and the training of researchers will be aided by the programme "People" for the EU 65 million euros.

The EC has submitted a call for proposals for projects integrating cooperation between companies and research centers of two or more Member States or associated countries to the EU. Interested parties can submit their projects before July 27th.

The "People" specific programme is to encourage the entry of persons into the research profession,strengthening, quantitatively and qualitatively, the human potential in research and technology in Europe including as regards the potential of women.

Measures implemented under this program are known as Marie Curie actions: activities to support the career development and training of researchers. Are being funded Marie Curie actions in areas such as:

Initial training of researchers.

  • Training throughout life and career development.
  • Pathways and partnerships between industry and university.
  • The international dimension.
  • Specific actions.
