EC publishes a Call for tenders for studying the impact of software and services
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Information Society and Media has issued a call for tenders for a study related to the development and perspectives of some aspects of Informations Technologies and software. This call makes reference to the Specific Programme on Cooperation of FP7.
The study is expected to provide a substantial result, directly implementable through policy actions, after considering the state of the software and services sectors throughout the European Union.
The specific purpose of the contract subject to the Call for Tenders for the economic and social impact assessment of software and related services, will be the study and identification of the potential economic and social impact of software and services within the future Internet. The study will also focus on the elements that are determinant for growth and competitiveness, as well as the actions that need to be taken to implement them.
This Call for Tenders makes reference to the development of the objectives of Specific Programme on Cooperation of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities (2007 to 2013).
The relevant documents may be obtained until January, 30th, 2009, and the time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is February, 2nd, 2009 (17:00 – Brussels).
