GBP 4,50 million for Food from Britain Regional Support for Quality Food (Processing and Marketing) Scheme
The Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) published on September 4th the Information communicated by the United Kingdom regarding State aid granted under Commission Regulation (EC) Nº 70/2001 on the application of Articles 87 and 88 of the EC Treaty to State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The State Aid is granted to the region of England within the scheme of the Food from Britain Regional Support for Quality Food (Processing and Marketing), representing a total annual expenditure of GBP 4,50 million for the period from April 14th 2008 to March 31st 2013.
The aid aims to support SMEs in the Processing and marketing of Annex 1 goods sector.
The legal basis of this State Aid is the The Agricultural Marketing Act 1983 as amended and the Regional Development
Agencies Act 1998.
