The European Commission has launched a tender for the creation and operating of an appealing EU affairs Internet portal dedicated to the on-line daily publication of articles selected among the European and world press translated and edited with comments and illustrations in a maximum of EU official languages.

In the framework of its Information and Communication policy, in order to encourage the development of a European public sphere, to contribute to an informed democratic debate, the European Commission wishes the creation of an appealing EU affairs Internet portal dedicated to the on-line daily publication of articles selected and edited with comments and illustrations among the European and world press and translated in a maximum of EU official languages.

The portal should be created by a legally structured EU network of magazines or operators, with an experience of selecting, translating and editing selection of articles from the world press.
