Technical follow-up of ERTMS projects

The Directorate-General for Energy and Transport of the European Commission and the TEN-T EA wish to have a framework contract that would allow a swift and efficient way to strengthen its capacity to follow up a number of major EU-funded projects for the deployment of the European Rail Traffic Management System along key European corridors (ERTM).

The purpose of this contract is therefore to provide the European Commission and the TEN-T EA with targeted technical assistance that will consist of the provision of experts able to ensure the technical follow up of these projects. The projects for which technical assistance will be provided include projects in the framework of the TEN-T 2007–2013 multi-annual programme, which have already been awarded funding as well as projects that will be awarded funding in the future.

The contract has been already published last 2nd July 2008 in the OJ and has stablished three lot as follows:

  • Lot No 1: Technical follow-up of ERTMS projects: Corridor A and non-corridor projects in Austria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands.
  • Lot No 2: Technical follow-up of ERTMS projects: Corridors B, E, F and any non-corridor projects in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic and Sweden.
  • Lot No 3: Technical follow-up of ERTMS projects: Corridors C, D and any non-corridor projects in Belgium, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The total quantity for each lot is a maximum of 150 person-days per year.
