State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises
On the 15th of May 2008, the European Commission published notification of State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises active in the production of agricultural products to various member states. One aid scheme included was to the United Kingdom with over two million Pounds of aid over forur years.
The scheme
The Discover Bute Landscape Partnership Scheme is for Scotland and its objective is to conserve and to enhance the landscape character of the Isle of Bute. To preserve and to improve access to the natural and built heritage. To encourage existing and new audiences to visit Bute to improve the economy of the island
Annual expenditure planned under the scheme is spread out over four years as follows:
- July 2008-March 2009: GBP 546,800
- April 2009-March 2010: GBP 477,850
- April 2010-March 2011: GBP 668,850
- April 2011-March 2012: GBP 428,500
The scheme will begin on 1st of July 2008 and will close on the 30th June 2012 .The last payment will be made by 30th September 2012.
Under the Bute Conservation Trust — The Companies Act 1985, proceedings are being led by the Bute Conservation Trust, Rothesay Isle of Bute.
