The EC has publsihed notices from various member states including Information communicated by Member States regarding State aid granted under Commission Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006 on the application of Articles 87 and 88 of the EC Treaty to State aid to small and medium-sized enterprises active in the production of agricultural products (2008/C 97/05). One of the aid schemes that  was focused on was the "Fondo per lo sviluppo della meccanizzazione in agricoltura" to come out of the Marche region of Italy.

The scheme that is due to run between 2007 and 2013 aims to provide investment into agricultural holdings mainly looking to:

• Reduction of production costs.
• Improvement and re-deployment of production.
• Improvement of quality.
• Protecting and improving the environment, hygiene conditions or animal welfare.

The legal basis of the fund will be managed by Regione Marche and will have at their disposal, over the period 2007 - 2013, no more than 6,000,000 euros.
