Open call for PEACE III: Operational Programme 2007-13 for United Kingdom and Ireland

European Commission approved PEACE III, the European Territorial Cooperation Programme for Northern Ireland and the Border Regions of Ireland (Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal) for the period 2007-2013 period with €225 million budget. A new open call for proposal is open now.

The Operational Programme "Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE III)" falls within the European Territorial Cooperation objective framework and has a total budget of around €333 million. Community assistance through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) amounts to €225 million. The Programme carry forward key aspects of the previous Peace Programmes – (PEACE I and II) and will have a continued and renewed emphasis on reconciliation.

Priorities for the OP are:

  • Priority 1: Reconciling communities
  • Priority 2: Contributing to a shared society
  • Priority 3: Technical assistance



The call is open to the the priority  2.2: Key Institutional Capacities are Developed for a Shared Society. Under this theme applications are sought in two main areas:

  • Area 1: Pilot innovative service delivery models with the potential for mainstreaming.
  • Area 2: European and international networking; Exchange of best practice.


Deadline for proposals

The call for applications under the theme of Key Institutional Capacities are Developed for a Shared Society is being made on a rolling basis. This means that presently there is no advertised closing date. However, a closing date will be announced at a later date as the funding under this theme is distributed.
