European Globalisation Adjustment Fund II 2014-2020 EGF Closed!


The aim of the EGF shall be to contribute to smart, inclusive and sustainable economic growth and to promote sustainable employment in the Union by enabling the Union to demon­strate solidarity towards, and to support workers made redundant and self-employed persons whose activity has ceased as a result of major structural changes in world trade patterns due to globalisation, as a result of a continuation of the global financial and economic crisis.


  1. Tailor-made training and retraining, including information and communication technology skills and certification of acquired experience, job-search assistance, occupational guidance, advisory services, mentoring, outplacement assistance, entrepreneurship promotion, aid for self-employment, business start-ups and employee take-overs, and co-operation activities.
  2. Special time-limited measures, such as job-search allowances, employers' recruitment incentives, mobility allowances, subsistence or training allowances (including allowances for carers).
  3. Measures to stimulate in particular disadvantaged, older and young unemployed persons to remain in or return to the labour market.

The Community provisional funding available for the programme is:

  • 3.000,00 Million EUR (Global Budget)
