The European Council had published a decision on support for activities of the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO) in order to strengthen its monitoring and verification capabilities and in the framework of the implementation of the EU Strategy against Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

EU citizens are now much closer to enjoy easier conditions when travelling to Brazil. The European Commission has adopted draft decisions on signature and conclusion of the short-stay visa waiver agreements with Brazil for holders of ordinary passports as well as for holders of diplomatic, service and official passports.

The Official Journal of the European Union publishes in its issue of 3 August 2010, Council Decision of 26 July 2010, establishing the organisation and functioning of the European External Action Service, which sets up its functions and actions in matters such as external action instruments and programming or security issues. On the same date, OJEU also publishes the legal instrument for the adoption of such Decision.
