EU invests € 56 million in energy projects
The Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (AECI) has launched a call for proposals for the work programme 2010"Intelligent Energy for Europe". The budget of the call is EUR 56 million.
The program aims to support energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and energy diversification to help ensure sustainable energy for Europe, thereby strengthening Europe's competitiveness.
The call CIP-IEE-2010 covers the action in the following fields:
- Energy efficiency and rational use of resources (SAVE).
- New and renewable energy resources (alternatives).
- Energy in transport (STEER).
- Integrated initiatives combining several of the areas listed above or relating to certain Community priorities.
Regarding the budget, 65 million euros will be available to finance up to 75% of the eligible costs of each project.
The call ends on June 24, 2010 for all shares.
