Brussels allocates 2 million euros to support european cinema
The Directorate General for Information Society and Media of the European Commission has issued a call for proposals on the MEDIA 2007 Programme, which finances the networking and mobility of students and trainers in Europe.
The Commission has published in the Official Journal of the European Union of February 8 a call for proposals for a total value of 2 million euros under MEDIA 2007 programme, which aims to strengthen the audiovisual sector economically to enable it to perform in an optimal way through its cultural development of the industry with a powerful and diverse heritage and a valuable and accessible, and provide added value to the national aid.
The call EACEA 02/10, whose overall budget is EUR 2,000,000 relates to the support for the networking and mobility of students and trainers in Europe.
The call will fund actions in the MEDIA countries aimed at developing the ability of future audiovisual professionals to understand and integrate the European dimension of their work, improving the training experience in the areas of economic, financial and trade in new audiovisual technologies and the development of scripts.
For this call, the deadline for submitting projects to the Directorate General for Information Society and Media is April 30.
