Brussels has issued a call for proposals under the MEDIA program to fund specialized training in the audiovisual field. The deadline for sending proposals is 9 July 2010.

The European Commission has launched a call for proposals under the multiannual Programme of support for the European audiovisual sector for the period 2007-2013, also known as MEDIA Programme

One of the measures to be implemented under this Programme is the continuous vocational training of professionals in the audiovisual sector, so as to give them the know-how and skills needed to create competitive products on the European and other markets.

The call EACEA/01/10 considers as eligible the actions in the MEDIA countries aiming at developing the capacity of audiovisual professionals to understand and integrate a European dimension to their work by improving expertise in the following fields:

• Training in economic, financial and commercial.
• Training on new audiovisual technologies.
• Training in script development.

The total budget for the call is € 2,500,000, and proposals must be sent by June 9, 2010 at the following address:
