Almost 2 million euros to fund educative cooperation with Canada
The Commission will fund with almost 2 M€ Transatlantic Exchange Partnerships and Transatlantic Degree Partnerships within the EU-Canada programme for co-operation in higher education, training and youth. Applications may be submitted until March, 24th, 2009
The EU-Canada programme for co-operation in higher education, training and youth, aims to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the European Union and Canada including broader knowledge of their languages, cultures and institutions and to improve the quality of human resources in the European Union and Canada.
Under Call for Proposals EACEA/30/09 European and Canadian consortia of higher education institutions and training institutions, “Transatlantic Exchange Partnerships” (TEP) will be able to carry out joint study and training programmes and to implement student and faculty mobility. "Transatlantic Degree Partnerships" (TDP) will develop and implement dual/double or joint degree programs. Support includes support for the development work and administration, grants for students and members of the academic and administrative staff.
Submission of grant requests under this call is open to higher education institutions and to vocational education and training institutions, taking into account that eligible applicants must be established in one of the 27 Member States of the European Union.
Budget and Duration of Projects
Activities are planned to start between September, 1st 2010 and December, 31st 2010 and must end by December 31st, 2014
The budget available for the co-financing of projects is estimated to be of a minimum of EUR 1,974 million.
Application Deadline
Applications have to be submitted both to the EU and to Canada. The Applications on behalf of the EU Lead institution must be sent to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency no later than March, 24th,2009.
