Brussels has decided to extend the deadline for the applications for the call for proposals 2009 for financial support to European consumer organisations until September 25th.

The call for applications Consumer Policy 2009, published in the Official Journal of the European Union from July 9, is extending its deadline for nominations from the September 9, as initially stated, until September 25, 2009.

The call, which aims to complement, support and watch the policies of the Member States, and contribute to protecting the health, safety and economic and legal interests of consumers, has a total budget of EUR 2.6 million under the Community action in the field of consumer policy.
