12.7 million to support student mobility in Europe and Latin America
The European Commission has published a new call for proposals under the Erasmus Mundus programme of action for improving the quality of higher education and the promotion of intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries. The total budget of 12.7 million euros.
The overall objective of the Erasmus Mundus programme is to improve the quality of European higher education by fostering cooperation with third countries in order to improve human resource development and to promote dialogue and understanding between peoples and cultures.
Window of Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation aims to contribute to mutual enrichment and better understanding between the European Union and third countries. It is designed to promote cooperation in higher education between the European Union and third countries through a mobility scheme that is embodied in exchanges of students and academic staff for purposes of study, teaching, training and research.
Universities or institutions of higher education in Europe established an association of more than 20 institutions are eligible for the call EACEA/13/09, and funding activities are to take place in one of the 27 EU Member States, Croatia , Turkey and EEA countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, or in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru , Uruguay and Venezuela.
The EC grants will fund partnerships with institutional basis of higher education institutions from Europe and Latin America to organize the individual mobility of students, researchers and academic staff of higher education and for the implementation of individual mobility.
Students of higher education, postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral and academic staff for teaching, training and research, these projects can benefit from mobility.
