The Commission has issued a call for proposals which gives a grant of the European audiovisual sector in its MEDIA 2007 programme. This time, the call aims at facilitating the promotion and improve market access for audiovisual productions of the Union

The call, published in the Official Journal of the European Union from June 9, finances projects which improve the circulation of European audiovisual works for the European audiovisual sector by allowing access to European and international professional markets.

It also will grant projects to encourage common actions between national bodies for the promotion of films and audiovisual programs. The total budget of the call is 1,500,000 euros.

The deadline to submit applications is August 9, and all member states of the European Union, the countries of the European Free Trade Association and the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and Croatia and Switzerland may participate in this call.
