Polish aid for multimodal transport
The European Commission authorised on the 12 november 2008 a Polish aid scheme which intends to encourage the development of multimodal transport through the construction of logistics centres and terminals.
The scheme is financed from the European Regional Development Fund and from the State budget. Subsidies will be granted at regional level for the construction of multimodal infrastructure and for the purchase of equipment.
The maximum aid intensity is 50% for infrastructure and 30% in the other cases. The scheme will be in place until 30 June 2015 with a budget of €41.6 million. The Commission has found the aid compatible with Article 87 (3) (c) of the EC Treaty.
