On the 23rd June 2008 the European Commission published in the Official Journal Prior notification of a concentration between Stena and Ballingslöv.

On 13 June 2008, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which Stena Adactum AB (‘Stena’, Sweden), a wholly owned subsidiary of Stena AB which belongs to the Stena Sphere, acquires within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation control of the undertaking Ballingslöv International AB (‘Ballingslöv’, Sweden) by way of purchase of all (or a majority) of shares.

The business activities of the undertakings concerned are:

For Stena Adactum: an investment company.
For Ballingslöv: active in the market of manufacturing furnishings for kitchens, bathrooms and storages.

The Commission invites interested third parties to submit their possible observations on the proposed operation to the Commission. Observations must reach the Commission not later than 3rd July 2008.
