State aid to Ireland, United Kingdom
On the 14th June 2008 the European Commission published in the Official Journal of the European Union (oJ) information concerning the Authorisation for State aid pursuant to Articles 87 and 88 of the EC Treaty Cases where the Commission raises no objections. One such aid scheme dating back to the 6th May 2008 was grated to all economic sectors in Northern Ireland (United Kingdom).
The "Northern Ireland Spin-outs (NISPO) — Risk Capital" scheme is aimed at Risk capital and Regional development will dispose of a total budget of 7 million euros. Invest NI based in Belfast wil coordinate proceedings acting under Article 7 of the Industrial Development (Northern Ireland) Order 1982, as amended by 2002 ID Act and are sue to complete a duration of nearly 6 years from 1st of April 2008 until 31st December 2013.
