Job vacancy as Administrative Director to Eurojust

The European Union has published, on the 30th May 2008, advert for a job vacancy as Administrative Director to Eurojust with a five year basic contract which shall be renewable.

Candidates will be considered for the selection phase on the basis of the following criteria to be fulfilled by the deadline for applications:

  1. Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union.
  2. A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies attested by a diploma and at least 15 years of professional experience at a level to which the qualifications give admission.
  3. Of the 15 years of professional experience, have acquired at least five years of professional experience gained in high-level management position(s) (applicants are explicitly requested to give details of the number of staff and nature of the departments they have previously managed).
  4. Thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the European Union to the extent necessary for the performance of his/her duties.

The grade for this position is: AD 14. The basic monthly salary of a temporary agent in the first step at AD 14 level, before any deductions or allowances, is approximately 12,320 euros.

What is EUROJUST?

EUROJUST is a European Union body established in 2002 (Council Decision 2002/187/JHA of 28 February 2002 on the setting up of EUROJUST, last amended by Council Decision 2003/659/JHA of 18 June 2003) to enhance the effectiveness of the competent authorities within Member States dealing with serious cross-border and organised crime.

The College of Eurojust is supported by an administrative staff led by the Administrative Director. The Administrative Director is responsible, under the supervision of the President of the College, for the day-to-day administration of Eurojust and its staff management.
