To mark the launch of a new calls for proposalr under the annual work programme in the field of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) for 2008 and multi-annual work programme for grants in the field of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) for the period 2007-2013, the EC has set up a series of meetings on the 16th of May 2008 titled "Information Day". The meetings will be broadcasted live over the Internet.

Draft agenda

Highlights from the day's agenda will include:

• Talks from the Directorate General for Environment on their environmental priorities.
• Presentation and question and answer sesion for MAP – Motorways of the Sea (MoS).
• Presentation of the TEN-T Agency – including Q&A.
• There will also be a "E-SUBMISSION" practical DEMO (including Q&A).

There will be a second TEN-E Information Day on the 20th May 2008 in Brussels also which will concentrate on Evolution of the TEN-E Policy, TEN-E Legal framework, the 2008 call and the TEN-E Decision.

The Calls for Proposals

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Energy and Transport, is hereby launching a call for proposals in order to award grants to projects in accordance with the priorities and objectives defined in the annual work programme for grants in the field of the Trans-European Transport Network for 2008. The maximum amount available under this call for proposals, for 2008, is EUR 140 million. The call is closing on 20 June 2008. (Official text published 25/04/2008 in OJ C 104/39). The Call for proposals under the annual work programme for grants in the field of the Trans-European Energy Network - TEN-E was also published on the 28th April 2008.
