The European Commission published its official decision on the 29th March 2008 concerning its conclusions, approving the Agreement between the European Community and the Kingdom of Morocco on certain aspects of air services. Full details of the conclusion are availabe in the Offical Journal of the European Union.

The objective of the European Community (EC) with this Agreement is to guarantee the right to non-discriminatory access to the market in routes between Member States and third countries, in this case with the Kingdom of Morocco. It is not a purpose of the EC to increase the total volume of air traffic between the European Community and the Kingdom of Morocco, to affect the balance between Community air carriers and air carriers of the Kingdom of Morocco, or to negotiate bilateral amendments to the provisions of bilateral air service agreements concerning traffic rights.

An amendment has been published (29/03/08) in the OJ to the Council Decision of 17 March 2008 related to Annexes I and II to the Agreement between the European Community and the Kingdom of Morocco on certain aspects of air services, in order to take account of the accession to the European Union of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania.
