The European Environment Agency awards the best videos on a sustainable future
The competition organised by the European Environment Agency seeks to award young Europeans born in 1991, 1992 or 1993 which make a video showing their vision of a sustainable future. With this competition, the Agency intends to get young people vision of how we can solve the most pressing environmental problems.
The European Environment Agency has launched the Competition "Generation '92" which looks for young people with a fresh vision of how we can solve the most pressing environmental problems. With this aim, the competition awards young Europeans born in 1991, 1992 or 1993 from one of the Agency countries members or collaborators, who will submit a video of between 30 seconds and two minutes in length, showing their vision of a sustainable future.
According to the EEA, the competition is open to a range of approaches – for example, contestants are free to choose journalism or fiction, live action or animation, interviews or images. If the videos are in a language other than English, they must have English subtitles. The public will also be given an opportunity to vote the 'Buzz' Prize, nominating their favourite video via social media.
The winners will travel to the EEA headquarters in Copenhagen (Denmark), where they will receive cash prizes at an awards ceremony on 5 June 2012. Entries may be submitted between 1 March and 2 April.
