AER launches its first movie competition

The Assembly of European Regions (AER) invites young Europeans aged between 18 and 30 to participate in its first movie competition with their creative talents.

The competition will be focused on “youth in a changing society” and it is launched as a prelude to the AER Summer Schools 2011, which are to take place from 22-27 of August in the Province of Flevoland (Netherlands).

The participants will have to produce a short-film or animation of a maximum of 3 minutes showing how youth are changing society all over Europe. The choice of topics is endless and there is only one rule which is to be creative.

The author of best film, besides having the chance of seeing his or her film published on the AER website and Youtube channel, will also be invited to attend the AER Summer Schools 2011, during which a selection of movies will be shown. Furthermore, the winner will also get the opportunity to cover the event with the AER’s Press and Communication team, and will receive a certificate confirming her or his involvement in fast-paced media activities in the international context.

The deadline for registrations is the 31 of May 2011 and the deadline for film submissions is fixed at the 30 of June 2011.
