The Commission establishes a provision of tax information and tax training

Taxation and Customs Union DG has launched a tender to provision of tax information sources and tax training. The tender has been published in OJ on August 21 2010.

The objective of this tender (B-Brussels: TAXUD/2010/AO-10 — provision of tax information sources and tax training) is to facilitate the provision of tax information sources and tax training of Member States other countries.

In order to formulate policy and monitor implementation of legislation as regards tax aspects of the internal market programme, the Commission needs to collect detailed and comparable information on tax systems and international taxation issues with respect to the EU Member States and candidate countries. In addition the Commission needs to collect detailed and comparable tax information for a number of large countries in order to keep up to date with worldwide tax developments. Finally in order to maintain a high level of in-house tax expertise, Commission staff needs to have access to high quality training in the field of taxation.

The European Commission has set up a maximum budget of 650,000 Euros. One framework contract covering activities to be carried out over a maximum period of 4 years. Tenders can be submitted until 8th October 2010.
