Call for proposals 2020 - Preparatory Action - Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in the Digital Transformation of Public Administrations in Europe: The EU Platform for regions CNECT/2020/3855382 Closed!

The objective of this preparatory action is to support the establishment of a pan-European tool, in this case a platform (‘the EU Platform for Regions’), that facilitates the uptake
and use of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data by regional and local public administrations across Europe, with the aim to enhance public administration efficiency and effectiveness in user-centric services.

The action will focus on the following activities:

  • implement and promote a multilingual platform of regions, if necessary through a process of conceptualisation, design and launch, for AI and BD connecting regional governments, ICT agencies, suppliers and enterprises, re-using where possible established best-of-breed open source solutions and closely linked to existing platforms that bring actors at all levels;
  • moderating and curating the content of the platform;
  • actively reaching out to regional and local stakeholders beyond the consortium encouraging the widest possible use of the platform of regional and local public administrations;
  • driving discussions on i.a. the use of shared data, standards and interoperability for public administrations;
  • providing seminars/webinars for i.a. the co-creation of user-centred public services based on AI and BD.
