Objectives
The call pursues setting-up one Information Centre for European Navigation Satellite programmes (EGNSS) in the United Mexican States (“Mexico”), to cover Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean (“the region”). This Centre must have the adequate technical expertise and institutional and workforce capabilities, to perform the tasks and activities foreseen in this Call in Mexico and in the region.
The objectives of the Information Centre are to, inter alia:
- Ensure visibility of the European Satellite Navigation activities;
- Monitor local and regional satellite navigation initiatives;
- Ensure support to the users in the region, e.g. to support the development of new applications through cooperation between the region’s and European industrial actors.
Actions
The following types of activities are eligible under this call for proposals:
- Cooperation projects;
- Conferences, seminars;
- Training activities;
- Awareness and dissemination actions;
- Actions aiming at the creation and improvement of networks, exchanges of good practices;
- Studies, analyses, mapping projects;
- Research activities;
- Other types of activities, as appropriate.
European community funding
The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:
- 0,48 Million EUR (Global Budget)
