12th Call for proposals 2017 - Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 Joint Undertaking - H2020-JTI-IMI2 H2020-JTI-IMI2-2017-12-TWO-STAGE Closed!


The Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 (IMI2) Joint Undertaking has been created following the principles below:

  • Research related to the future of medicine should be undertaken in areas where societal, public health and biomedical industry competitiveness goals are aligned and require the pooling of resources and greater collaboration between the public and private sectors, with the involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
  • The scope of the initiative should be expanded to all areas of life science research and innovation.
  • The areas should be of public health interest, as identified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) report on priority medicines for Europe and the World



The list of topics covered by this call is:

  • IMI2-2017-12-01: Development and validation of technology enabled, quantitative and sensitive measures of functional decline in people with early stage Alzheimer’s Disease (RADAR-AD)
  • IMI2-2017-12-02: FAIRification of IMI and EFPIA data
  • IMI2-2017-12-03: Development of sensitive and validated clinical endpoints in primary Sjögren’s Syndrome (pSS)
  • IMI2-2017-12-04: European Health Data Network (EHDN)
  • IMI2-2017-12-05: Analysing the infectious disease burden and the use of vaccines to improve healthy years in aging populations
  • IMI2-2017-12-06: Discovery and characterisation of blood-brain barrier targets and transport mechanisms for brain delivery of therapeutics to treat neurodegenerative & metabolic diseases
  • IMI2-2017-12-07: European Screening Centre: unique library for attractive biology (ESCulab)

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 126,44 Million EUR (Global Budget)
