Objectives
Los objetivos de este premio son:
- abordar la brecha en el mercado de las TIC para que una pantalla gráfica táctil haga que las personas con discapacidad visual se beneficien de las tecnologías digitales y mejoren la calidad de sus vidas, especialmente en el ámbito de la educación y navegación
- estimular los esfuerzos europeos más amplios en el desarrollo de soluciones para esta necesidad social.
Actions
The prize will be awarded to the entry that best addresses the following cumulative criteria:
- Usability: The solution is easy to read, understand, perceive and operate.
- Affordability: The solution must prove affordable.
- Portability: The solution is portable.
- Design: It has a considerate design, it is reliable, robust and safe;
- Interactivity: The solution allows the users to input content and to manipulate the displayed information (interactivity);
- Interoperability: The solution should be interoperable with other ICT devices, including other assistive technologies available on the market.
- Back Translation: The solution allows for the back-translation of braille or tactile graphics into text or images.
European community funding
The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:
- 3,00 Million EUR (Global Budget)
