European Research Area Network – Smart Grids Plus - 2nd Joint Call for Transnational RDD projects on Smart Grids ERAnet-SG+2 Closed!
Objectives
The main challenges are:
- Enabling an increased flexibility of the power system to cope with the growing share of intermittent, variable and decentralised renewable generation and managing the complex interactions.
- Increase network capacity to support increased generation and transmission resulting from renewables and in support of the internal energy market.
- Provide information, services, market a rchitectures and privacy guarantees to support open markets for energy products and services, whilst facilitating the active participation of customers
Actions
The essential innovations to be achieved can be seen in three layers:
- Stakeholders/Adoption
- Technology
- Marketplace
The ERA-Net Smart Grids Plus partners have established a set of desirable charac-teristics for project proposals:
- Meta-analysis, cross-cutting issues of existing demonstration projects
- Comparative validation of technologies and concepts of existing demonstrations
- New demonstration project
European community funding
The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:
- 20,00 Million EUR (Global Budget)
