Call for proposals for developing new world-class research infrastructures H2020-INFRADEV-1-2015-1 Closed!
Objectives
The Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) is implemented by specific programme and work programmes.
The “Excellent science” priority aims to reinforce and extend the excellence of the Union's science base and to consolidate the ERA in order to make the Union's research and innovation system more competitive on a global scale. It consists of four specific objectives, and this call for proposal is focused on:
"Research infrastructures" develops and support excellent European research infrastructures and assist them to contribute to the ERA by fostering their innovation potential, attracting world-level researchers and training human capital, and complement this with the related Union policy and international cooperation.
Actions
Actions foreseen within this call for proposals include the following topics:
- INFRADEV-2-2015: Preparatory Phase of ESFRI projects. This topic has been canceled after the update to the Horizon 2020 Work Programme of 23 July 2014.
- INFRADEV-3-2015: Individual implementation and operation of ESFRI projects. The research infrastructures identified in the ESFRI roadmap or in the European strategy for particle physics have benefitted from EU support for their preparatory phase. Some of them have already moved on to the implementation phase and/or have started their operation. The initial phase is, however, the most delicate and difficult one for new pan-European infrastructures in the process to become fully operational as technologies, services and procedures need to be finalised and best tuned, financial sustainability must be proved and users’ trust and awareness must be gained.

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:
