Joint transnational call for proposals - Safe Implementation of Innovative Nanoscience and Nanotechnology ERA-NET SIINN Closed!


The aim of the call is to close knowledge gaps with respect to EHS (Environment and Human Safety) issues in order promote the rapid transfer of the results of nanoscience and nanotechnology research into industrial application by helping to create reliable conditions.


The call is opened to innovative transnational research proposals focusing on Manufactured NanoMaterials (MNMs) in the five topics described below:

  • Over-arching aspects of nanosafety research (Topic 1)
  • Exposure assessment (Topic 2)
  • Toxicity mechanisms (Topic 3)
  • Environmental impacts of MNMs (Topic 4)
  • Effects of MNM on human health (Topic 5).

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 4,52 Million EUR (Global Budget)
