Objectives

The overall objective of this call for proposals is supporting civil society initiatives linked to the human rights sector (civil, political, economic, social and cultural) and democratization, such as:

  • Creation of common agendas in human rights and democratic reforms
  • Building political consensus in contested or controversial areas
  • Strengthening participation and political representation
  • Strengthening inclusion and pluralism of civil society
  • Support the implementation of the EU Guidelines on Human Rights at local level

Actions

  1. Support initiatives to promote gender equality (political participation, women and peace building processes, sexual and reproductive rights, actions/measures to eradicate and punish violence against women and rehabilitation of victims of violence).
  2. Promote and protect the rights of children (strengthening the system of child protection, actions/measures to eradicate and punish violence against children, rehabilitation of victims of violence, youth violence prevention and strengthening programs reintegration and social rehabilitation of children in conflict with the law).
  3. Assist in the defense and protection of human rights defenders (strengthening the role and capacities of political dialogue on human rights defenders, strengthening national protection mechanisms and international actions/measures to prevent, prosecute and punish attacks on defenders human rights).

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 1,02 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
