Objectives

The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to encourage the active participation of civil society in policy-making and to foster its role in contributing to and monitoring of the fulfilment of Albania's obligations under the EU Albania Stabilisation and Association Agreement, including the respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms and the freedom of expression and media freedom.

Actions

This Call for Proposals will support CSOs in implementing actions related to:

The justice sector (support access to justice for marginal groups of population; fight against corruption; monitoring / improvement of living conditions in detention system)

Support to CSO initiatives with an aim to:

  • Support access to justice for marginal groups of the population.
  • Fight against corruption
  • Monitoring / improvement of living conditions in detention system

Promoting social and economic inclusion of the Roma minority and Egyptian community

Support to CSO initiatives to promote the fight against discrimination and social inclusive measures.

Freedom of expression and media freedom

Support to CSO initiatives to promote media and freedom of expression, with an aim to:

  • support media independence through the promotion of the transparency of ownership and media financing
  • promote adoption of adequate media policies.
  • build and enrich professional capacities of Albanian journalists.
  • improve public and professional debate on digitalisation, new media and social media.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 1,50 Million EUR (Global Budget)
