Call for proposals - Pilot Project on Victims of Torture HOME/2012/CFP/PPVOT Closed!

Objectives

The main objective pursued by the Pilot project is to create a new line of funding for victims of torture. The pilot project will cover the following actions: to create rehabilitation centres for victims of torture or to support the existing ones; to provide access for victims of torture to multidisciplinary support and counselling, including physical and psychotherapeutic treatment, psycho-social counselling, legal services, and socio-economic support to the victims.

Actions

Proposals must address at least one of the following two priorities:

  • Support actions and activities for the physical and mental rehabilitation of torture victims and their family members;
  • Support rehabilitation centres which aim to restore the victim’s right to a remedy and take an integrated approach encompassing elements of medical and social rehabilitation as well as legal redress.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 2,00 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
