Call for proposals — Reinforcing cooperation with European Neighbourhood Policy countries on bridging the gap between research and innovation (R2I-ENP) FP7-INCO-2013-9 Closed!


The R2I-ENP activity will focus on bridging the gap between research and innovation by aligning better research objectives to socio-economic needs and improving performance in managing, transferring and using knowledge resulting from research. The activity will contribute to enhance cooperation between ENP countries and Member States and/or Associated Countries on addressing key societal challenges of common interest.


The two geographic Areas targeted by the activity are the following regional groupings of ENP countries:

  • Eastern Partnership: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine,
  • Mediterranean Partner Countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestinian-administered Areas, Syria, Tunisia

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 9,50 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:

  • European Union (EU)
  • European Economic Area (EEA)
  • Candidate Countries
  • European Free Trade Association (EFTA)
