Call for proposals - Peace-building Partnership Support - Liberia EuropeAid/132943/L/ACT/LR Closed!


The present call for proposals aims at continue to support non-state actors on the following thematic and/or transversal issues: a) Media as a tool for conflict prevention; b) Civil society capacity building in mediation and dialogue; c) Women, peace and security, in particular women’s participation in political processes.

This call for proposals will focus on priority b) Civil society capacity-building in Mediation and Dialogue with particular emphasis on the Liberian youth.


Actions must contribute to the achievement of the objectives and Gender issues should be mainstreamed in all aspects of the proposed action.

Two specific objectives have been identified under this Call for Proposals:

  • Lot 1 -Youth empowerment for peace: To contribute to build the capacity of the Liberian youth in advocating for peace and initiating inter-community, inter-generational, entrepreneurial and institutional dialogue, notably with the Liberian institutions and authorities in view of facilitating their smooth integration into the Liberian society; and thus strengthening continued peace and stability in the country.
  • Lot 2 -Support to peace-building initiatives in Liberian Universities: To support the professional and advocacy potential of Liberian university students towards peace by reinforcing the competences and capacity of Liberian Universities in offering programmes and future careers contributing to conflict prevention and peace-building.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 0,70 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
