Call for proposals — Sub-action 4.4: Projects encouraging innovation and quality EACEA/19/12 Closed!


The purpose of this call is to support projects targeting the introduction, implementation and promotion of innovative and qualitative elements in non-formal education and youth work.

These innovative aspects may relate to:

  • the content and objectives, in line with the development of the European cooperation framework in the youth field and the priorities of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme, and/or
  • the methodology applied, bringing new ideas and approaches to the field of non-formal education and youth.


Preference will be given to those projects which best reflect following priorities:

Permanent priorities of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme:

  • participation of young people,
  • cultural diversity,
  • European citizenship,
  • inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities;

Annual priorities of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme:

  • youth unemployment, poverty and marginalisation,
  • spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship, employability,
  • grassroots sport and outdoor activities,
  • global environmental challenges and climate change.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 1,50 Million EUR (Global Budget)

Opened to the following bodies or institutes with legal status established in the covered areas:

  • Non profit organisations

Covered areas

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:

  • European Union (EU)
  • Candidate Countries
  • European Economic Area (EEA)
  • Third countries
