Objectives

The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to provide a sustainable local response to food insecurity and malnutrition in Yemen.

The expected results of this Call for Proposals are:

  • The food production and availability is increased and/or stabilised at local level, in both rural and urban regions, for rural as well as urban communities and households.
  • Improved access to food, in particular for vulnerable and poor groups.
  • The nutrition status of the most affected and vulnerable social groups is improved by means of better food quality, food diversity and use.

Actions

Actions proposed must be related to reduction of food insecurity and to the three pillars of food security: availability and/or access and/or use.

Actions should include community organisation and mobilisation component involving vulnerable and poor section of society.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 1,10 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
