Call for proposals - Pilot projects for the development of "Sector Skills Alliances" EAC/S01/2012 Closed!

Objectives

This call for proposals for pilot projects on "Sector Skills Alliances" (SSA) aims at gaining experience of transnational partnerships which address the challenges of skills mismatches and shortages. The lessons of the call will feed into European and national policy making as well as into the implementation of the future European programme in the field of education and training. The results will also boost VET policy and strategy in the economic sectors concerned.

The projects shall be designed in such a way as to have a systemic impact on training provision in order to foster its relevance for the sector in question, and encourage economic competitiveness.

Actions

The activities proposed should have a clear link with the objectives set in section. They shall typically include elements from the following list. This list is non-exhaustive:

  1. Definition of skills needs or development of a European occupation core profile within the sector based on existing evidence (previous research, studies, survey or reports or new research).
  2. Joint curricula design: activities to include or integrate skills or occupation profile in curriculum design, VET programmes and possibly qualification standards taking into consideration learning outcomes approaches (e.g. EQF, ECVET...) or quality assurance principles (e.g. EQAVET).
  3. Joint curriculum delivery between partners, possibly implementing innovative methods (work based learning, development of new services, products and prototypes with commercialisation potential).
  4. Dissemination activities through existing European, national and regional networks and platforms of schools , enterprises, business organisations, guidance organisations, as well as through Internet platforms and other relevant media.

Activities which do not contribute to the objectives of this call are not eligible for funding.

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 2,00 Million EUR (Global Budget)
