Objectives

This call for proposal aims to strengthen overall capacity for action and dialogue of civil society organizations and local authorities in Chile, in order to participate in defining and implementing strategies for poverty reduction and sustainable development. Following the conclusions from the ongoing dialogue with civil society in Chile, and given the importance that the EU attaches to the citizens in cooperation for development, this call will be specifically targeted to enhance collaboration and dialogue between citizens and public decision makers on issues affecting social cohesion and quality of life in Chile.

Actions

Non-exhaustive examples of specific activities in the projects are:

  • Training in the thematics that the proposal's proponents consider necessary for achieving the objectives
  • Conferences, workshops, seminars and workshops with European counterparts, among others.
  • Partnerships between local Chilean and/or European officials including exchange in the field of risk management
  • Networks and platforms between entities of different nature in the same territory for visible or relieve a particular strategy or theme
  • Actions of advocacy and lobbying
  • Training and strengthening of new leaders especially in regions other than the MR
  • Strengthening organizational and intelligent systems and new self-financing
  • Strengthening capacity building of citizens' organizations
  • Implementation of models or pilot actions

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 2,57 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
